Fort Wayne Police have arrested a third person in connection with a string of robberies in January. Tyron Beard, 21, was arrested Tuesday night in Fort Wayne in connection with a robbery on Gulf Drive.

During the January 10th incident, police say a woman was tied up as two black males looted her apartment. Beard has been charged with receiving stolen property connected to the incident.

Two other men have been arrested in the month since the final robbery. During a ten day period in mid-January, 13 apartment dwellers were robbed or attempted to be robbed.

Police say in the weeks since, they have been combing through cell phone records, text messages and evidence collected from search warrants. A spokesman says one of the initial arrests came after a finger print was found on a piece of duct tape used in one of the crimes.

Fort Wayne Police say at this point they're confident that they have identified the key players in last month's spree, but urge the public to remain vigilant.
