On Friday, GasBuddy.com showed an average of $3.75 a gallon for the city of Fort Wayne, with the most expensive gas centered around the north side of the city.
Experts blame the spike on a number of factors, including problems at a refinery near Chicago that caused a halt in production. Analysts also say a recent bump in the stock market has driven up oil futures.
