Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has released the postseason honors for women's basketball and Indiana Tech's Rachael Kruse (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) and Ulyssia Richmond (Temple Hills, MD/Riverdale Baptist) received First Team All-Conference recognition.

In her first season with the team, Kruse started all 30 games for the Warriors and quickly became one of the conference's biggest playmakers. The 5-7 junior guard from Fort Wayne leads the team in scoring (16.8) and steals (48), and ranks second in rebounds (151), assists (99), and blocks (16). The 5-7 junior guard from Fort Wayne also ranks in the top-5 in the conference with her 16.8 points per game, and has recorded eleven 20-plus point games, including a season-high 31 in a victory over Lourdes University.

Richmond earned her second piece of WHAC hardware after being selected to the WHAC All-Newcomer Team as a freshman. The 5-9 junior guard is an explosive offensive player and became the latest Warrior to reach the 1,000 career point milestone earlier this year. Richmond is averaging 16.1 points per game, and has hit a career-high 58 three-pointers this season. She set a new career-high with 27 points in Tech's upset victory over Madonna University on Nov. 17.

Senior Bryn Schlatter (Antwerp, OH/Antwerp) was named to the Champions of Character Team for best representing the five core values of the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative - integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

The Warriors had three student-athletes named to the WHAC All-Academic Team. Those earning the honor were Sabine Filippovica (Linibazi, Latvia/Independence), Kendall Guthrie (Lake Oswego, OR/Lake Oswego), and Bryn Schlatter. To qualify, an athlete must achieve a 3.25 or better GPA and be a junior or above in academic standing.

Indiana Tech finished the regular season at 13-17 overall and 11-11 in WHAC play under first-year Head Coach Jessie Biggs. The Warriors earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming WHAC tournament and will travel to No. 3 seed Siena Heights University for the first round matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
