The FBI raided the home of Michael Fabini, brother of former professional football player Jason Fabini.  Jason's property was also searched.

Several Fort Wayne homes were searched by the FBI as part of the safe streets initiative.

"I go by this house everyday I admire it. it's so beautiful riding my bike in a safe neighborhood and seeing this is really concerning," said Lori Hunt, Michael Fabini's neighbor.

Lori hunt didn't feel that sense of security today after watching the FBI collect evidence from Michael Fabini's Cherry Hill subdivision home.  Fabini's brother, Jason, a former professional football player also had his home on Wheelock road searched.

"I'm not surprised and now that the names have come out and its' from a semi-famous relative I'm really not shocked," said Melissa Meyer, Michael Fabini's neighbor.

Jason Fabini released this statement, "I am not the target of the investigation and I was not involved in any criminal activity.  I have not been charged, nor do I expect to be charged with a crime."

The neighbors WFFT spoke with say constant home renovations, security cameras and even an industrial sized generator on the side of the home were clear giveaways that something wasn't right.

"There's something highly suspicious.  I mean for every other house that's built on this Platt or that's platted in the immediate area you don't see those things.

I've always taking special interest in this house because a couple years ago they were doing remodeling," said Hunt.

Another home located in the Chandlers Landing subdivision, was also raided.  Computers, weapons and several boxes were taken from the home.    An FBI spokesperson says that the raid at this home is connected with the others.  The FBI hasn't said what they are investigating but Michael Fabini's neighbors have their ideas.

Everyone's kids go to school a mile and half from here you don't want that around your kids if its drugs you don't want that in your neighborhood," said Meyer.

The FBI confirmed that there were more than four homes raided as part of the safe streets violent crimes initiative.
