What the Labels Really Mean.

Nutritional labels are on just about everything we eat, but are those labels telling us everything we need to know?
"Sugar bad, saturated fat bad, and a little bit of protein very good and an overall balance even better," said Dan Morris, owner of Heath Kick Nutrition.
Morris says it's important to understand that not all fat is bad--in fact unsaturated fats are vital.
"Instead of just looking at fat on the supplements facts and putting the item down look and see if it's unsaturated fat," said Morris.
We spoke with people at a local fitness club and discovered that serving's sizes can get confusing.
"I think that's really commonly missed if you look at the serving size a lot of times there's two in each serving," said Emily Bender.
"That's a bad misleading thing when you find something that's 300 calorie snack but its three portions," said John Price.
"The main thing that people are missing is servings per container and serving size," said Morris.

"Usually there's a nutritional scale at many of the fast food restaurants here in Fort Wayne so I look at that and try and eat better now than I did when I was younger," said Bill Fahlsing.
