Fort Wayne, IN
---The Komets announced Wednesday that they have traded defenseman Brent Henley to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL for cash.

Henley, 32, appeared in 42 games with the Komets this season scoring nine assists, 10 points and +6 while accumulating 145 penalty minutes.  Henley was loaned to Norfolk of the AHL Jan. 15 for a five-game stint (0 points, 9 penalty minutes) before returning to Fort Wayne Feb. 4.

2012-13 is Henley's 11th pro year and fourth stint with the Komets.  Last season the defenseman led the CHL with +29 and 201 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 7-inch, 250 pound defenseman was named co-winner of the 2011-12 Komets Unsung Hero Award and appeared in 15 playoff games en route to the 2012 CHL Presidents' Cup Championship.

Komets home double-header weekend--The Komets will skate three games this weekend.  Cincinnati visits Friday at 8pm before the Komets visit Toledo for a 7:05pm faceoff Saturday night. Sunday the Komets return home to host the Wheeling Nailers at 5pm.

Bus Stuff for Community Harvest Food Bank this weekend--The annual campusLink Bus Stuff to benefit Community Harvest Food Bank takes place again this year during Komet home games this Friday and Sunday.  Komet fans can save $2.00 off their upper arena game ticket with a food donation at each game.  The Komets ask that fans bring canned or packaged food for donation.  The goal is to donate enough food to fill a campusLink bus.
