The Noble County Sheriff is calling it a major victory -- nearly two dozen people arrested Wednesday morning in Kendalville have been charged in connection with a large meth dealing operation.

Police say that the group had been distributing meth from a home on Freeman Street in Kendalville. The home is a short walk away from East Noble High School.

Noble County Sheriff Doug Harp says the dealers will face steeper penalties because of the home's proximity to the school.

According to Indiana law, anyone convicted of dealing more than three ounces of drugs within a school zone is automatically charged with a "class a" felony with a minimum sentence of 30 years and $10 thousand in fines.
