Police Make Arrest in School Bus Shooting

The Avilla Police Department arrested 21 year old Andrew Matrin Thiel today in connection with a school bus shooting Tuesday afternoon.

Thiel is charged with Criminal Mischief, a class A misdemeanor. He could face up to one year in jail and a $5,000 fine.

The Avilla Police Department received a call Tuesday afternoon that an East Noble School Corporation school bus had been shot. The shooting occurred in the Cranberry Acres Subdivision in Avilla.

Officers arrived and observed two bus windows that appeared to be shot out. No one was injured.
