Noble County, Ind. (WFFT) - We trust our children with them everyday, but can we trust them with a gun? The Noble County School District is considering arming staff with guns to protect students.

Superintendent Christ Daughtry told WFFT that arming staff is cost effective. The district is teaming up with the Noble County Sheriff to train staff for free. A local gun dealer has also offered to donate guns to the school for free.

The plan is not finalized. Daughtry says he will work with staff and parents of students first before deciding to bring guns inside the school.
