GMs Fort Wayne Assembly Plant has announced a $46-Million expansion. The expansion will allow GM to build heavy-duty versions of the Chevy Silverado and the GMC Sierra Pickup trucks.
The Allen County Council has agreed to a tax abatement on $27-Million of the investment.
The expansion will help ensure the plants survival at a time when GM is undergoing big changes in a bankruptcy plan.
