Thousands of fans had the chance to celebrate the life of the mega star one last time. Of the 1.6 million people who applied for free tickets, a little over 17,000 were handed out. Millions more watched on TV. Jacksons body was present at the service. Celebrity guests at the event included Mariah Cary, Stevie Wonder, and John Mayer to name a few. Jacksons Daughter got up in front of the massive audience to tell the crowd that she loved her Dad. The Jackson Family did have a private service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills California this morning, before the public service at The Staples Center. The owner of local music store, Wooden Nickel, says Michael Jackson C.D. sales have shot up since his death. Typically they sell one or two C.D.s a week. Theyre now selling around 18 a week.
