Three Rivers Festival is in full force. During this time of year there’s always the question of where to park, without have to fork over the big bucks. FOX Fort Wayne found out was where you can get the best parking for the smallest price during the Festival.
The average amount people are spending is $4.00. Parking at Old Gas House on Superior and Layfette runs about $5.00. This is the most expensive parking near Headwaters.
Ben Hall, the G.M. of Gas House says “If anything we try to stay a little higher priced because we want the city lots, the primary lots for the Festival, to get the bulk of the business. We are not in the parking lot business.”
Next stop was A Party Apart on Superior. They only open after business hours. They charge $4.00 for cars, $2.00 dollars for motorcycles. If your lucky your might catch one of their three dollar specials.
Todd Jaggers, at A Party Apart says “Sometimes we have the lot sitting a little empty so we drop it down to $3.00 to give a bargain.”
The City County Building’s Garage runs a flat rate of $3.00 during special events like Three Rivers Festival. Headwaters Parking lot is the closest to the Festival with 300 available spaces. That price is $4.00.
But the best price FOX Fort Wayne found was at Freiman Square. It’s on Clinton Street and right across from the City County Parking Garage. The reason its so cheep is because it’s a metered parking lot, meaning its only 50 cents an hours. And after 5:00 p.m. it’s free.
All the parking lots FOX Fort Wayne looked at are within five blocks of the Festival.
