breaking news
At least ten-thousand animals are euthanized in Fort Wayne every year. Hope for Animals is a local organization aiming to change that. The group says overpopulation is the root of the problem. It can be solved by spaying and neutering animals.
Hope for Animals is throwing Putt for Mutts. It is a golf tournament to raise money to benefit local animals. The event will be held Sat. August 8th, at the Chestnut Hills Golf Course. The cost is 125$/person or 400$/team. Members of the Komets are available to play on teams.
To register for the tournament or for information on how to adopt animals seen in the story, contact Hope for Animals at 260-797-2230 or log onto their website at www.hope-for-animals.org
