breaking news
George Rice found a skull in a wooded area near Glenbrook Square Mall around 3pm this afternoon. It happened on Fernhill Avenue behind the mall. Rice, a maintenance worker, was getting dirt from the area when he noticed the remains. Rice says they were in six pieces and were on the grounds surface.
Police placed crime tape around the area before taking pictures. The Crime Scene Investigation Unit was on the scene as well as police chief Rusty York.
Police will use DNA and dental records to identify the remains if they are human. Police would not comment on whether any other bones or remains were found near the skull.
