A one-year-old little girl is home safely tonight after police found her on a Citilink bus after her babysitter reported her missing. It started around six pm tonight at 2916 McCormick. The baby was with her babysitter. Early police reports indicated the babysitter was in the shower when her friend arrived. When the babysitter got out of the shower the baby was gone. Police had reason to believe the woman had taken the baby on a bus. Police put out a description of the baby to Citilink bus drivers. Police also stopped buses looking for the baby. She was found shortly after police began looking for her. A bus driver recognized the description. According to police, the bus was at the corner of Hannah and Creighton, not far from the babys home. The babys father was reunited with his daughter. No charges have been filed.
