USGA Women's State Team Championship

   Some of the best female amateur golfers in the country will tee off in a national tournament Tuesday in Fort Wayne.

   The three-day USGA Women's State Team Championship will take place at Sycamore Hills Golf Club. Most states sent a team to compete. Overall, 147 golfers are set to play in the tournament.

   Don Hunter, general manager at Sycamore Hills Golf Club, says this tournament is the biggest event to ever hit the golf course. Hunter says he hopes Sycamore Hills will see bigger events in the future like a PGA tour, which Hunter says he is currently working to arrange. 

   The USGA Women’s State Team Championship is free and open to the public. Sycamore Hills Golf Club is located at 11836 Covington Road in Fort Wayne. For more information, visit http://www.stateteam.org/.
