You may have seen a cow themed limousine driving around Fort Wayne. Ten boys celebrating a friends birthday in that cow limo last week were forced to spend about 40 minutes sitting on the side of the road when the limo driver got pulled over. Chris Shanks and his wife rented this cow limousine to pick up their son and his friends for his 12th birthday. Shanks says the driver showed up late, but things really turned sour with the chauffer failed to pull over for a police officer. Michael Joyner, the Public Information Officer for Fort Wayne Police Department says “The officer pulled in directly behind this vehicle and did not see a license plate, and was concerned about a vehicle operating with out a license plate so he conducted a traffic stop.” But even with the sirens, lights and passengers in the back yelling at the driver to stop, he didnt. Shanks says “He would not pull over and eventually he was forced to pull over. The boys say 7 more police officers pulled up. Police say it wasnt quite 7, but they basically boxed him in.” Shanks says “Not being able to finish the ride was very disappointing and a big disappointment for my son.” We were unable to reach the owner of the Chips and Giggles cow limousine service today for comment. The driver was ticketed for improper display of license plate, and failure to yield to a emergency vehicle. Shanks told me the driver did try to make up for it by offering a free ride to his son sometime this week, but Shanks turned down the offer.
