TinCaps Midseason Review

The past few weeks, including several win streaks have changed things for the tincaps.
"Our hitting is coming along," says outfielder Tyler Stubblefield.
"We're taking it one game, one inning, one bat at a time. it's the best baseball we're playing all year," says TinCaps' pitcher Keyvius Sampson.
"It's putting it all together all at once before earlier in the season before we'd have one aspect of that maybe two but now all the aspect of our defense, pitching and the small little things that win ball games are starting to come out and it couldn't come at a better time," TinCaps manager Shawn Wooten mentioned.
The TinCaps six man pitching rotation is working well for them. Subblefield said that, "I'd have to put it on our starting pitchers they've come out here and battled for us."
Manager Wooten expressed that, "Our starting pitchers are going later in games which is helping out our bullpen and keeping it fresh."
New bonds within the team are a part of their success.
Sampson told us that "All of guys that came up here were first year players first year jitters so everyone gotten over that point and the team chemistry is getting better and I guess its all clicking for us right now".
Stubblefield agreed with his teammate, "as a group we've jelled and come closer in the second half and have come closer as a team."
That chemistry could lead them to the post season.Wooten said, "We gotta go out and just take care of our business and just do what we do, not get ahead of us just take one game at a time."
Stubblefield replied "We're excited we know we have to get out here and continue to put our work in and play the same ball we've been playing. win the close games. that's going to be the hardest thing down the stretch, winning those one run games."
Sampson expressed that to "Just execute is the major key in getting to the playoffs this year."
It's going to be a long stretch for the TinCaps who don't have a day off until August 16th. The coaches are trying to give them the perfect amount of rest.
