Paterno Out

Hours after announcing his retirement, Penn State announced that head football coach Joe Paterno is out for the rest of the season. Both Paterno and Penn State President, Graham Spainer were fired today by the Board of Trustees. John P. Surman of the Penn State Board of Trustees addressed the media.

Big Day for Mastodons' Softball

The IPFW women's softball team are headed to the NCAA tournament after beating South Dakota state 7 to 4 today.

Infielder Ashley Bousquet also became IPFW's all time softball hits leader and head coach Amy Tudor became the winngiest coach in program history.

TinCaps Shut Out in Peoria

Peoria, IL - Peoria Chiefs pitcher Tyrell Jenkins needed no help Sunday afternoon, limiting the Fort Wayne TinCaps to only three hits, as he pitched a complete game shutout, leading his team to a 1-0 win. The scoreless defeat marked the first time in 2013 that the TinCaps have been shut out.
