Nine year old Jalen has been on the waiting list for a Big Brother for 3 years.  Jalen says "I can let people know what I like, what I like to do and that I kind of need a Big Brother"  And what Jalen really loves to do is play with legos.  Jalen got the Millenium Falcon for Christmas and was able to put the whole thing together in around 6hrs.  And he says that he has put together more than 10 different Star Wars lego sets.  But being an only child what Jalen really wants is someone to hang out with. Jalen says "I like to play football, I like to play video games, and I like to draw."  Jalen is just one of more than 500 kids waiting for a Mentor and 70% of the kid waiting are boys.

If you would like more information about becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister the website is BBBSNEI.org.  There you will find information about all the different programs Big Brother Big Sister offers.  Also you can go to Chief Meteorologist Kennie Berg's facebook fanpage and ask any questions about being a BIG or share stories you have from the mentoring program.
