Courtney King hails from Chicago, where she attended DePaul University. She majored in Journalism with a minor in Sociology.  While at DePaul she was a Sports Anchor and the only female to host a sports show, the Sports Lounge, on Radio DePaul.

Her first job in the biz was working as a reporter for the Softball Channel, where she got to interview her childhood idol, Olympian Jennie Finch (Courtney's first interview ever!) After that she interned at Comcast SportsNet Chicago and ESPN 1000.  Prior to WFFT Local Courtney worked as a rinkside reporter for the Rockford IceHogs (The American Hockey League affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks).  She also filled in and co-hosted their radio show, Hog Talk several times. Courtney was also featured twice on WGN Radio 720 Chicago for her sports blog, CourtSport as a guest hockey analyst.

From a young age she always loved sports and was the only girl on her teeball team before she started playing competitive softball. Courtney is a die-hard White Sox fan and enjoys visiting different baseball stadiums. This past summer she visited 10 different ball parks! She also enjoys frozen yogurt, fashion, and going to the batting cages.
