On Saturday, local girl scout leaders said their sales have been up during this year's cookie season despite state Rep. Bob Morris' comments.
This past week, Morris voiced opposition to the Girl Scouts of America in a letter to fellow lawmakers, saying they are a "radicalized organization." Morris alleges the group holds close ties with abortion provider Planned Parenthood.
On Friday, Morris made several public statements apologizing to the public for his statements, but maintained that he will stand by his claims.
