The campaign started at Parkview Field with current "Bigs" and "Littles" in attendance.  The recruitment drive is designed to get 300 male volunteers to sign up to become Big Brothers.

With more than 300 Little Brothers still unassigned, the Man Up blitz hopes to give many, if not all, of them a Big Brother by the end of the Summer.

Dane Boykins, Board Member and a Big Brother, said, "Well we're trying to secure 300 men to Man Up!  To say, you know what, hey, I can do this.  We're trying to secure that many, that select number, that magic number that we've picked for the youths, the Littles.  It's a blitz for the Summer, and we think it's achievable."

The Man Up campaign's deadline is September 25th.

If you would like to join or contribute to Big Brothers Big Sisters, call 888-456-1600 or go online at www.bbbsnei.com.
