Several homes were burned and firefighters were forced to call out more units to battle the smoky blaze.
Witnesses tell me that three houses total have burnt since just after seven.
They say houses 605, 611, and 615 Sturgis Road were all involved.
Neighbors say they heard some loud pops, and others say they saw someone lighting fireworks out front on Sturgis Road.
One neighbor says he saw flames in the backyard of 615, and called 911 around 7:15.
Others say they also heard and saw air-born fireworks going off in front of the houses just before the fire.
David Chester and his family were there.
"Me and my dad and my wife and I were working on my van, and we heard a bunch of popping noises like fireworks. My dad, my wife and I all looked over- the third house in on Sturgis, the whole backyard was totally engulfed in flames," Chester says.
Fire crews are still on the scene tonight, as flames have kept popping up in places on all three houses.
Fire crews were unavailable for comment at this time.
