Public Weighs In On City Budget

Henry is pushing for a tax increase for most homeowners, but many city council members say they're against it

Mayor Henry is proposing a $140 million 2013 budget. That includes a nearly $5 million property tax increase.
Henry says a property tax hike is the best way to go, but several councilmen disagree.
They are urging the city to dip into cash reserves, and then use the Light Lease money to catch up on much-needed road repair projects. But, that idea was only met with criticism from the public tonight.
