All across the U.S., folks are weighing in on Richard Mourdock's controversial 'rape' comment

From TV to radio, Mourdock's remark has many talking.

His rape comment has also exploded on the social media scene, from comments on Facebook to trending on Twitter.

While many Democrats are criticizing Mourdock for the remark, many Republicans are still sticking behind the Mourdock.

Today WFFT asked viewers to weigh in, asking if Mourdock's comment will influence how they vote. Most say 'no.'

John writes: "No, still voting for Richard." While Daniel writes: "no, I already voted for Richard Mourdock. Yet Brad writes: "These teabag extreme Republicans are not from this planet. What the heck is wrong with these people?"

We also caught up with a few Republican state lawmakers today to get there take on the issue.


"I stand behind Richard Mourdock as a candidate. I think any of us at any given time can have a statement come across that maybe isn't exactly the way you might of intended it to be" says Indiana State Senator Dennis Kruse.

 

Meanwhile, Indiana State Representative Kathy Heuer says "I don't have a comment. I've not seen it. I've not read it."
