24-year-old Keneisha Eley has been upgraded from critical condition to serious condition and 19-year-old Tyrion McNair is in fair condition. But as everything was happening, bystanders didn't know if they were dead or going to live.
Keneisha Eley lay unable to move, in the middle of the street. She was gunned down in broad daylight. She told paramedics that she had been shot in her chest and arm.
"The teacher in me and the mom in me was like, okay somebody is in the street, we don't know if they're living, we don't know if they're dead, we don't know if they're breathing, we don't know who knows CPR, I have some first aid training" says Tia Ogunsusi. She hopped off of bus number six to administer CPR. She had been on her way home from work yesterday when the passengers heard loud gunshots. They thought someone was shooting at the bus. She soon learned they weren't the target. Instead, the shooter was shooting at a young man woman.
Police arrived on the scene within a couple of minutes and interviewed several witnesses. Detectives say they have received information about a possible suspect vehicle but they aren't releasing a description. So far, police have not named any suspects.
