A Kosciusko County man is in jail after a burglary turned violent. Police say a man burglarized a home and when the homeowners arrived, he fired a gun at them.

It started around 10 o'clock Monday night at a home on East 500 North near North Webster in Kosciusko County. The homeowners tell WFFT that when they pulled in the driveway, they found the lights on and saw a burglar inside.

Police say that burglar is 30-year-old Aubrt Clevenger of Kosciusko County.

They say Clevenger then ran out and aimed a shot gun at the homeowners' car. He fired one shot at the wheel at the car as they drove off.

Police eventually caught up with him and he was taken down by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's K-9 Unit.

The homeowners say after all that, the burglar only made off with a small pearl bracelet.

Clevenger was taken to the hospital to be treated for dog bites from the K-9 that took him down. He is currently being held in Kosciusko County pending charges.
