Police found two men in a car with gunshot wounds on the 700 block of
Witnesses tell police that a third person got out of the car and fled the scene on foot. The shooting was a little too close to home for Bernice minor.
"The car was sitting right there in my driveway and I stopped at the gas station you know I could have been in the crossfire," said Minor.
"Bullets don't have names we could have just been standing outside and it could have just gotten us," said a neighbor.
This year alone there's been 27 homicides in Allen county, more than the total number of homicides from just a year ago, a statistic Alexis Mccowan can't comprehend.
"Why does this have to happen on our street we cant ever be safe. I have to keep my brothers and sisters in the house. I have to keep myself in the house because it's not safe," said Mccowan.
