H.O.P.E. for animals provides pet spaying and neutering at little or no cost to pet owners in the area.
Employees say sometime after business hours on Monday, someone climbed onto the clinic's roof and entered the building through a ventilation shaft. The thief stole around 800 dollars from deposit bags, a cash register and donation boxes in the lobby.
So Tuesday morning, H.O.P.E. posted a plea on its Facebook page asking for donations to make up for the stolen money. They say donors made up for the loss in less than two hours.
