Preparing for the End of the World (Or Any Other Disaster)

On Friday, it could be the end of the world as we know it. That is, if you believe some doomsdayers.
December 21st, 2012 marks the final day of the ancient Mayan calendar. Some say the date is a prediction of the apocalypse.
"It doesn't really matter what the survival scenario or what the disaster, our basic needs are the same regardless," says Creek Stewart, a survival expert and owner of Willow Haven Outdoor, a survival camp in Anderson Indiana.
Stewart says he has received lots of calls from frantic people asking about how to prepare for the apocalypse. While he doesn't believe the myth personally, he thinks getting people in the survival mindset is a good thing.
"I've had a couple of frantic calls from people concerned the world is going to end on Friday, but I just try to calm them down and give them a real-life perspective."
