Updated: December 25, 2012
Wednesday's winter storm is expected to dump between four and nine inches of snow on our region. With that in mind, many holiday travelers wrapped up their Christmas celebrations early.

Wednesday afternoon, there was a steady stream of early travelers at the rest stop on I-69 in DeKalb County.

Many said they'd rather leave their families early than risk an accident on snowy roads.

Wednesday's storm is expected to being dumping snow between 6 and 8 in the morning. Officials at INDOT's Fort Wayne division say they trucks are ready, and snow removal crews will be called in as soon as the first flakes fall.
