18 Arrested in Dog Fight

Police in Churubusco arrested 18 people Saturday night after a raid revealed an alleged dog fight.
It happened at a home on the 900 block of East State Road 205 in Whitley County. Police served a search warrant after a tip that a dog fight was being held.
When police entered the garage of the home, they found an injured pitbull inside of a plywood "fighting ring." Two more dogs were found inside the home, one of which was injured and bleeding.
Police arrested Eddit Smith, 36, who lives in the home. Eighteen others were arrested and charged with attending an animal fighting contest. They are being held on $4 thousand bond.
