Henry and Hickman are both members of a group called Mayors Against Illegal Guns. The Organization iis a bipartisan organization with over 800 mayors across the country.
The Mayors proposed three main reforms: recquiring criminal background checks for all gun sales, banning military-style assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and making gun trafficking a federal crime.
The meeting today marks the one-month anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
