For some, it's outdated. For others, it's not a problem.

The debate on Sunday alcohol sales has been heated in Indiana for years.

T
he Hoosier State is one of only a few states that doesn't allow carry-out alcohol sales on Sunday. The one exception is microbreweries. And it looks like the ban will remain in place for at least another year.

Today, Indiana House committee leader Bill Davis says a vote on lifting the ban likely won't happen. A hearing was held last week on the issue. Arguments were made by both sides. And in the end, Davis says he's he'll remain in favor of the ban.

It was tough news for John Elliott to swallow. Elliott is the public affairs manager for Kroger. He's disappointed that the Sunday sales ban likely won't be overturned this year.

But, despite the committee's likely decision, Elliott says they'll continue to push for change in order to gain convenience.

Tuesday is the House deadline for bills to be approved by a committee.
