Well, one of his former patients is speaking out about a troubling letter he just received from The Centers for Pain Relief, saying he is no longer a patient.
"Centers for Pain Relief is releasing me and the reason given in this letter is no other reason than a breakdown in the physician client relationship," said Dave Peconge, Hedrick's former patient.
Dr. Hedrick of the Centers for Pain Relief was Peconge's physician for years, but this letter puts an end to their relationship, citing a breakdown between Peconge and the pain center. Pecogne says he not satisfied with the explanation.
"I'm not the only one who going through this, I'm positive there are more people. You may not have received it yet but trust me if you've been on too high of a dosage the postman is coming," said Peconge.
Local attorney Nate Hubley has several clients who have come to him with similar letters from the Centers for Pain Relief. We showed Hubley the letter and he says it's vague and doesn't tell econge why the relationship is being severed.
"I certainly can't tell from this letter what the explanation is. I think they need to provide a little more information," said Hubley.
I also brought the letter to Dr. Zachry Waterson with the family medicine residency program in
"If you've gotten to the point as a physician that you've decided to no longer be able to care for a patient I don't understand why it would be difficult to explain in a little more detail," said Dr. Waterson.
Waterson says it would be ideal if the Centers For Pain Relief would explain why they dropped Peconge as a patient, however, they don't have to.
"It can be very vague just saying patient and Dr. conflict, you are going to have to find a new physician," said Peconge.
We reached out to the attorney for the centers for pain relief but he did not return our calls.
