A man is dead after a shooting near the intersection of Mckee Street  and Abbott Street.  Police responded to the intersection just before 8:00 Thursday evening.

Police say the victim was in a four door car on the 2200 block of Mckee Street when a different vehicle pulled up along side the car and opened fire.  There is no description of that vehicle.    The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released the name of the victim. Amber Trigg, a cousin of the victim told us the man shot was 23-year-old DeMarcus Adams.  Trigg added, Adams was shot last month in the same area while taking out the trash.

Police are treating this case as a homicide.  If you have any information call police or Crime Stoppers at 4-3-6 Stop.
