The final numbers have come in for the community harvest food bank Canstruction event this year, and Northrop High takes home the People’s Choice Awards.
The event raised over 144,000 cans of food this year, and rose over $17,000.
In April, students from 14 high school built sculptures out of canned food at Glenbrook Square.
Visitors to the mall had the change to vote for their favorites sculpture as well as donate to the community harvest. Northrop High School won the People’s Choice Award for their pair of hands holding a globe.
