One-hundred golfers hit the tee today to raise money for the Mad Anthonys Children's Hope House.

Celebrity golfers included actor Danny Chambers who appeared on the 1980s TV show "Hill Street Blues."

"I love coming back to Fort Wayne, it’s is like my adopted home” says Chambers.

And from the ice to the green, Komet's left-winger PC Drouin gave his best at the tee today.

“Are you as good of a golfer as you are a hockey player?” I asked.
“I used to play more, but now it’s kind of a hit or miss, and today it’s a miss” says Drouin.

This was the third Mad Anthony tournament for pro-golfer Jenny Gleason, who despite the rain showers today shot well.

“We shot about a 17 under, so we did pretty well” says Gleason. She notes that the course allowed for a lot of birdies today.

But all eyes were Amanda Blumenherst. Blumenherst is a three-time player of the year at Duke University, was the 2008 Women's Amateur champ and now is this year's Mad Anthony Red Coat Honoree.

Blumenherst says “it’s a great honor to be this year’s Red Coat Honoree.”

Blumenherst, who just announced her intent to go pro, grew up right here in Fort Wayne.

Past Red Coat Honorees include Neil Armstrong, Phil Harris, Isaiah Thomas, Peyton Manning, and Shelley Long.
