“How can I get the employer’s attention?”
It’s a question that many job seekers are eager to learn the answer to.
Robert Mosshammer was one of the twenty-five education students who took advantage of mock interviews held today at IPFW.
Mosshammer is a substitute teacher on the hunt for a permanent teaching position. He says that the Mock Interview process has a helpful one and helped sharpen his skills.
“We had such an overwhelming response from the first education mock interview” says Coordinator, Cassie Bracht.
Bracht says mock interviews were setup strictly for education students due to the limited number of teaching jobs available here in Fort Wayne.
Nicole Thomas is a recent grad of IPFW. She says that she has never interviewed anywhere before and also thought the mock interview was helpful since she “didnt know what questions they were going to ask.”
Mock interviewer, John Macleod says there are three key elements every job seeker should bring to an interview.
Number one: come prepared with three things about yourself.
Number two: come prepared with information about the prospective employer.
Number three: Come prepared with very specific job knowledge.
