People living along Fort Waynes Thieme Drive soon wont have to dodge mounds of clay. Construction crews have started removing the dikes built last winter. The temporary levees contained floods from the Saint Marys river . They were kept in place until most of the threat was over. Since February, only one lane has been open and parking was restricted. Removing the levees cost more than 30-thousand dollars. But that was less than half the estimate. Crews expect to have all the clay removed next week.
