Three Rivers Ambulance Authority is preparing to turn over day-to-day management of its ambulance fleet to a new private contractor.

Paramedics Plus will replace American Medical Response, whose contract expires at midnight June 30th.

Gary Booher, executive director of TRAA, says the transition will be “seamless.”  His staff is preparing to replace current ambulances and equipment owned by AMR with trucks and equipment from Paramedics Plus.

Booher says TRAA will continue providing service as usual, and that the public will only see a slightly changed logo and a different shirt color for paramedics.
