First-time homebuyers are lining up to get thousands of dollars in tax breaks.

The federal government is offering a credit of up to eight thousand dollars depending on the purchase price of the home. And people in Fort Wayne are taking advantage.

FOX Fort Wayne talked with one recent homebuyer who qualified for the credit. To hear from her, tune in to FOX Fort Wayne News First at Ten or click on the video following the newscast.

Information about the credit is available online at http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=187935,00.html.
