Trooper Andy Smith is a one-man Meth Suppression Unit in northeastern Indiana. He travels a nine county area including Noble county, the number one meth-producing county in the state. Smith searches for one-pots, portable meth labs often contained in 20 oz. soda bottles. The chemicals inside the bottles, if opened, can burn lungs and cause serious damage. Smith works to educate the public about recognizing one-pots and avoiding harm. Officers from Hawaii are coming to Fort Wayne to learn from its Meth Suppression Unit. If you believe you have found a portable meth lab, call 911. To report meth use or making of meth, call 1-800-453-4756.
