breaking news
Janice Collins faces two charges of neglect of a dependent stemming from an incident last May, where her three-year-old son shot his one-and-a-half-year-old brother in the face. According to police reports, Collins admitted she had brought the gun into the house where her sons could reach it.
New records released show police found marijuana at Collins home the night of the shooting. The victim in this case survived and is in his grandmothers custody now. Prior to being charged, Collins had been taking parenting classes in hopes of getting her sons back when she went to a hearing originally scheduled in October.
Collins spoke exclusively to Fox Fort Waynes Nadia Bashir last May about the shooting. Watch the story to find out more.
