The Mayor and Allen County Commissioners have appointed a Working Group to assess a move to Renaissance Square. Friday, August 14th, Mayor Tom Henry sent a letter to the Allen County Commissioners regarding moving forward on plans for the proposed move. Commissioners responded with a letter appreciative of Mayor Henrys "positive tone." The Commissioners asked for a meeting with Mayor Henry and continued to press for joint ownership of both the City-County building and Renaissance Square. Mayor Henry addressed the Working Group in his letter. The Group consists of three people, one city employee, one county employee and a third neutral party. The Group will crunch numbers on cost and space for the proposed move. Mayor Henry was unavailable for comment on Friday afternoon. The Commissioners office declined an on-camera interview.
