Citilink, IPFW, and Ivy Tech have kicked off a new shuttle service called "campuslink."
The free service is designed to transport students, faculty and staff between the two schools and to surrounding areas. It is also open to the public.

Community leaders say the service will help students save money as well as help the environment.

campusLink will have four busses paid for with federal stimulus dollars. A Citilink official said the shuttle is funded primarily by Citilink in addition to IPFW and Ivy Tech. According to a campusLink news release, funding for three years comes from the a "Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) grant." Service beyond that time depends “on the identification of an alternative funding source," according to the release.
