This week a student and a staff member at Norwell High School in Ossian tested positive for the H1N1 virus. The school district sent home a letter explaining how to prevent the spread of the virus. The district has also placed hand sanitizers in classrooms. H1N1 usually has a 7-10 day life cycle. In order to return to school, the district says a sick person must go for 24-hours without a fever. They must do so without the help of any medication. More than 300 people have contracted the virus in Indiana so far. Four people have died.
