The shooting happened on the 34-hundred block of Oliver Street. There was one child and one other relative in the home during the shooting. They witnessed the crime and are helping police piece it all together. Michael Joyner, the Public Information Officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department says “Officers got to the scene and were met by one or two frantic individuals who were in the house, and indicated they had family members down inside.” Tony lives across the street from the home where the murders happened. Tony is unable to speak, but wrote down that he heard a gun shot. Joyner says “We have no idea as to a motive on this.” Both women died on scene from apparent bullet wounds. Police found sings of forced entry. Joyner says “We suspect that one of the possibilities is robbery, but what they were looking for, what they thought they would find, we don’t know at this time.” The whiteness says the shooters were black males wearing bandana face masks. They were seen running away from the scene by witnesses outside the home. Police don’t currently have any suspects. Police are waiting to reveal the two women’s names after autopsy results are released.
