Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry has presented his budget proposal for 2010.

Henry says he asked departments to do more with less money. He says the $132.2 million budget includes less spending than last year with no services cut.
But the budget would require some cuts. For example, Alvin Moll, director of Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation, says his department has to reduce some services in order to meet the administration's goal. That means closing Swinney Pool and cutting back on tree trimming.
The proposed budget would also raise property taxes by 3.45% to the highest rate since 1989.
